One story includes a pastor (Vincent Price) who exhorts his parishioners to take back their city from the gangsters and corrupt politicians who have taken it over. Another is about a US Army chaplain (James Whitmore) tortured by Red Chinese captors for ministering to his fellow prisoners of war. Originally aired from 1955 to 1957, the series features numerous guest stars including James Dean, Lloyd Bridges, Hugh Beaumont, Chuck Connors, Barbara Eden, Michael Landon, Gene Lockhart, Maureen O'Sullivan, and Lee Van Cleef.
